I mean, every day you hear about how Covid19 cases are spiking in the US and so you should panic, while every day has a lower number of deaths than the day before — which just means every day is proving how low the actual threat of Covid is.
At the same time, you hear about how police shootings of unarmed Black people is tantamount to a genocide, while the actual number of such shootings comprises a tiny fraction of Black homicide victims.
It seems like teaching “New Math” in public schools has not worked out very well.
