Cardi B interviewed Joe Biden. Presumably, his campaign wanted to position him with someone against whom he would appear comparatively coherent, as well as someone who would not let Biden get a word in edgewise, i.e., not require him to speak. Of course, given the campaign’s blatantly cynical approach to racial issues, they undoubtedly thought this would be an ingenious way to mitigate the damage of Biden’s recent expressions of contempt for Black voters. Somewhere in the minds of his handlers, I am sure, they are hoping that christening Biden as “Joey B” will have a Bullworth effect; but that is a wish pregnant with disappointment.
