Eric Weinstein’s repeated contention is that ‘the wrong people are in charge of the institutions’. Aside from this being the most succinct expression of the ‘view of the Annointed’ which Thomas Sowell wrote about; it is also an unpreventable problem.
Perhaps, given that there is no way to ensure that the “right people” will control the institutions at any given time, might it not be best to limit institutional power and increase democratic accountability?
