I watched the Netflix show about serial killer Richard Ramirez “Nightstalker”, and I am just wondering how they decided it was a good idea to anchor the narrative on two cops who basically did nothing for a year but discover that Ramirez wore shoes. Meanwhile, after one crime in their jurisdiction, the San Francisco police were able to discover the killer’s identity. They totally picked the wrong narrative device for this documentary.
