Struggling against our enemies, and against the system of domination by which they keep our rulers subordinate is not called “waiting for the Mahdi”
It is also not called trying to grab power and pretending that it will be Islamic just because we call it Khilafah, when in reality it will be just another tyranny that has a mixture of good and bad; a mixture of Shari’ah and personal opinion; as we have already.
It will be, as our Prophet ï·º said it would be, “jabriya” which implies that the real power and control will be external.
It is appropriate to fight those external powers, not merely the regimes they control. And it does not make sense to me to struggle to establish a system of totalitarian power in which the population has no say, particularly when we know beforehand that the ruler will be an oppressor who is dominated by outside powers.
That is not something I would celebrate, and it is not something beneficial to the Cause of Islam. I was under the impression that we have been struggling AGAINST dictatorships controlled by our enemies.
