This is staggering. Unemployment insurance claims jumped from 211,000 in the week ending March 7th to 6.6 MILLION in the week ending March 28th. That’s more than a 3000% increase in three weeks.
For anyone who doesn’t know, you qualify for unemployment insurance (a small amount of financial support from the government) if you have been laid off from your job.
