There appear to be two paths before Egypt. There is the path which leads directly to enslavement to global corporate imperialism, and another path also leading to enslavement to global corporate imperialism, but which reaches that destination by means of internecine strife and war. Both paths lead to the same miserable conclusion; one is simply bloodier than the other.
Creating another path to another destination; the path to liberation; will certainly involve sacrifice and suffering, loss and pain; of course. However, we are trying to avoid both enslavement and war, each of which entails far more suffering and loss.
If you confront corporate targets and investment, obviously, this will entail difficulty for the employees and others connected to the institutions of imperialist control. If you disrupt operations, hinder commercial activities, disable supply chains, yes, it is predictable that those who work in the companies will be affected.
If the slaves on a plantation rebel and burn down the house of the slave master, the slaves who stay in the house will have to find somewhere else to live, but the action frees them all. It is a small price for a great benefit, but yes, a price does have to be paid.
Inflict loss, decrease profit, increase expense, lower investor confidence, deflate the share values. If it is clear that corporations are being targeted, this by itself will hurt investor confidence and share price. And if you actually disrupt their operations in any way this will hurt their profits and reliability. They could potentially lose staff. Insurance rates will increase, operating costs will increase, their dependability is damaged, etc. Any disruption will ripple through the entire system.
Simultaneously send a message to the corporate CEO and shareholders explaining to them, “This is what we have done, this is why we did it, this is why we did it to your company specifically, and this is what you can do to make us stop doing it. If not, we promise you that you will not make a profit in Egypt as long as we are not free.”
