Multinationals, foreign investment companies absolutely eclipse the economic power of anyone like Fakhry, and their dominance and influence over Egypt is unparalleled.
Someone like Fakhry is equivalent to the local elites who helped maintain British colonialism in the system of indirect rule; he is just a collaborator with the global elites. Their interests coincide, but taking him down will not change the society and will not change policy. It will only increase the market share of his competitors, who are probably mostly army-owned manufacturers or multinationals.
I agree with a campaign to help people realize that they have the power to impact companies, they do have the power to target corporate revenues and so on. However, undertaking this kind of effort for the sole purpose of bankrupting a particular individual, I do not think serves any revolutionary goals.
