While, yes, there are other players with interests in Egypt besides multinationals, that does not mean there is any contradiction or competition between them. The economic subjugation of Egypt only betrays the interests of the population; not the interests of any of the power players.
The primary concern of the Gulf monarchies is ending any political concept of populist Islamic government which could potentially inspire their own populations. Of course, they are also interested in profiting financially from Egypt’s enslavement, but their main aim is to see the end of political Islam.
No conflict there with the interests of business.
