Increasing the disparity in wealth within a country; establishing a small clique of billionaires while worsening and spreading poverty among the rest of the population helps to create a greater convergence of interests between local elites and foreign ones. The super-wealthy collude with one another for their personal enrichment at the expense of the domestic populations, and through this collusion, sovereignty is dissolved. This does not happen by violent coercion or invasion. It is not an attack, it is an agreement.
