Understand, the strategy of disrupting multinationals and foreign investment has nothing to do with overthrowing capitalism and it does not necessitate developing any kind of alternative economic model.
Thinking that you can establish a society where the wealthy will not rule is a delusion.
There are no solutions, there are only developments in how we cope with the conflict of interests between the rulers and the ruled. This has always been the case, and always will be. There are no Utopias in this life; and there will never be an end to competing interests. Our struggle is how to counterbalance the enormous advantage of those who own the capital and the means of coercion.
Do not assume that confronting multinationals equates to supporting leftist theories; communism, marxism, socialism, etc. It is based on realism, nothing else.
This strategy is merely a fighting technique which utilizes the dynamics of the real existing power system to obtain our rights. It does not seek to destroy or to collapse the system, but rather it seeks to empower the people with a degree of control over that system.
This is fundamentally an anti-imperialist strategy for restoring economic sovereignty and political independence. It is a strategy for imposing accountability on power and commandeering corporate influence for the public good.
We have outgrown the illusion of theoretical models. We do not believe in solutions, only strategies.
