The rape of sisters in Sisi’s jails has been documented and characterized as “systematic” Human rights groups have described it as the use of “rape as a weapon” against the opposition. So what are we to make of a situation where the crime is committed at more than double the frequency, and 98% of offenders are never prosecuted? Is that not even more systematic? Is that not even more of a weapon?
And they call upon us to emulate this society? And there are still those among us who admire that society and believe all the lies it tells about itself?
