Q. How can we interpret the unlimited support – physical, financial, and political – to Israel by the Jewish lobby in the West, as well as immigration to Israel to ensure the safety and well-being of the country?
A. Before we interpret facts we need to confirm that they are facts.
The global Jewish population is around 14 million, only about 6 million of these are Israelis. From these Israeli citizens, only about 5 million actually live in Israel, roughly only a third of the world’s Jewish population.
From the 5 million who do live in Israel, between 40-60% have applied or are planning to apply for citizenship elsewhere.
Jews make up approximately 75% of the “Jewish state”, and this “demographic problem” is the most pressing concern for the Zionist project, because it is going to be impossible for that percentage to be sustained.
Tens of thousands of Israelis abandon the country “seeking better living and financial conditions, employment and professional opportunities” abroad. Clearly unwilling to sacrifice their material well-being for the Zionist cause.
With regard to the Jewish Lobby, pro-Israel lobbies spent a total of about $3 million last year, which is only a little more than what was spent by the poultry lobby, but less than half what was spent by the dairy lobby. What the Jewish lobby spends to “pressure” the government is approximately 0.025% of what is spent by the defense industry, and the defense industry is the primary beneficiary of US aid to Israel.
