Unfortunately, I think, we sometimes behave like ideologues. We try to interpret events in ways that ratify our agenda, even if we are completely off the mark. This causes us to misunderstand our own people, our Ummah, and they become alienated from us, and we from them. And we undermine our own agenda this way; and inevitably, others will take the lead, such as Leftists and Secularists and so on.
They do not have the answer, but at least they know what the questions are.
The best form of Da’wah for the Islamic parties is not to preach, but to listen.
