…so reported a doctor in Cairo treating protesters who’d been gassed by the military. Several people have died from asphyxiation after being exposed to this tear gas, inaccurately referred to as “non-lethal”.
The company supplying the military with these chemical weapons is a US-based Israeli business called Combined Systems Inc. It was started by 2 Israelis back in 1981, and has a fully owned subsidiary in Israel.
The company is owned by CST-CSI Holdings, which is in turn owned by 2 investment firms, Carlyle Mezzaine Partners and Point Lookout Capital Partners.
