As I have written about before, you can possibly destroy the army’s enterprises. Destroy their businesses, erase their stake in the economy. That is far more feasible, and realistic, not to mention wiser, than destroying the army itself.
However, you will still be faced with the neoliberal crusaders. They will simply collaborate with the civilian business elites who will form a facade of national government, and the civilian government (on behalf of the corporate imperialists) will command the army. Dismantling the army’s stake in the economy can potentially remove their motive for seizing power, and may enable you to have a civilian government, but it will still not be a sovereign government.
If the government has no economic sovereignty, and no political independence, and is thoroughly subordinate to international businessmen and investors, it should be obvious that it will never be Islamic.
Ultimately, there is no avoiding the fact that you must confront corporate domination.
