‘Umar bin al-Khattab said:
وَلاَ بُغْضُكَ تَلَفًا وَإِذَا أَبْغَضْتَ أَحْبَبْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ التَّلَف
Let not your hatred be destruction, such that when you hate someone you love destruction for your companion.
