When conditions are getting worse, and the people are becoming hopeless, and oppression is intensifying, the option of surrender is nullified.
The worse the situation becomes, the less right you have to accept defeat.
As injustice becomes more prevalent, your obligation to oppose it increases. Your duty to the martyrs who opposed the tyranny before you, and your duty to the children and the generations yet unborn, becomes more urgent and demanding,. Despair and hopelessness and self-pity are unmanly qualities, and this struggle is too important to weaken now.
Do not say, “the oppressors are so strong, what can I do to fight them?” say “the oppressors are so strong, what can I do but fight them?”
