Posted on May 10, 2015 by Shahid Bolsen

Inequality, exploitation, conflict, and oppression are inevitable outcomes of Christian Capitalism; the economic ideology which brought together rich industrialists, financiers, and religious fundamentalists since at least the 1930s, to form a united front against the general population.

Christian Capitalism is essentially a formula for the creation of extreme social hierarchies; with deprived, docile and obedient masses working to elevate and enrich a small clique of unquestionable supreme authorities.

It is not very unlike the odd dynamic in a small Baptist church in which the poor and struggling congregation hands over money every Sunday to their preacher as a form of worship, so this so-called “man of God” can wear a gold watch or drive a Rolls-Royce.

It is a religio-economic concept which sanctifies radical inequality and worships the sheer ruthlessness of power.
