Women have always played a crucial role in resistance movments, from Cumann na mBan of the IRA to the women guerrillas in Latin American opposition groups.
Depending on their level of commitment, and what types of tactics they support, there are very few restrictions on what a sister can do to fight for the liberation of Egypt from corporate imperial control, and indeed, there are some types of action for which they are actually more effective.
I have written before about the tactic of labeling the products of multinationals in shops with anti-Coup, anti-imperialist slogans. This is something ideally done by women when they go shopping; particularly if they wear niqab. Women can easily create accounts and send large numbers of emails to corporate headquarters warning them to support justice or else face significant loss in profit. Women can do important research, analyzing companies’ ownership structures, subsidiaries, operations, and so on. They can gather information about company locations, security, vulnerabilities, delivery schedules, etc; particularly if they happen to work for important multinationals themselves.
Obviously, women can also work on decreasing their families’ dependence on multinationals by learning how to make things themselves, simplifying their lifestyles and eating habits, and so on; working to revive the Sunnah of zuhd in their homes.And they must encourage their husbands and brothers to exercise, be fit ad healthy, and urge them to participate in the struggle
Again, depending on their level of commitment and bravery, women can engage in acts of sabotage themselves against corporate targets; simple actions such as triggering fire alarms, blocking drains, cutting cables, calling in reports of suspicious packages in an office building, or making outright bomb threats; all of these actions can cause considerable disruption for a company, particularly if done persistently.
Women can support actions taken by men by purchasing items they need for a particular operation, spray paint, chemicals, and so forth. They can prepare caltrops at home, and frankly, I don’t know why a woman who drives would not be capable of dropping caltrops along roads to and from targeted companies and distribution centers.
What women are able to do to further the goals of liberation is limited only by their own creativity and willingness.
