There is no logical reason, and certainly no justification in Shari’ah, why energy companies should own any of the resources they discover. A man who digs a well for you on your property does not own any of the water he discovers,a farm worker does not own any of the crops he produces on your land. They are paid a wage for their work.
Why should Eni, or Apache, or any of the other parasitic foreign energy companies own any drop of Egypt’s oil? Why should they own any of your natural gas? Let them be paid a fixed rate for their services,
