In my youth, I used to box in the heavyweight division, and weighed around 96kg. Once I got married and basically stopped training, I gained weight
In prison, my training was sporadic (as I have written before), and my weight fluctuated.
When I was released from prison I weighed about 87kg, reduced through diet and exercise from around 112kg. Once I got out of jail, and I did not have my family with me yet, I ate whatever and whenever I wanted. I binged on pizza and burgers and sweets.
I ballooned up again to about 102kg.
The cold weather in Turkey aggravated the injuries I had from prison, and I had trouble training, so I focused on running until I was able to return, little by little, to my regular training.
At the beginning of last Ramadan, I weighed 94kg, with a body fat ratio of around 16%. Today I weigh around 85kg, with a body fat ratio of approximately 10-12%. This can perhaps give you an idea of what kind of results you can expect from HIIT training, insha’Allah.
It is important to monitor your weight, particularly when you are not active, and to be conscious of any disintegration in your fitness level so you can prevent further deterioration before it becomes too difficult to manage.
