There are no Utopias and there is no Utopian method. Every strategy for improvement has pros and cons, and will often involve steps foward and steps backward, and stumbling.
Taking a gradual approach will always leave many problems unresolved at any given moment of appraisal because problems are being dealt with incrementally.
However, taking an immediate approach, pretending that you can solve all problems at once, inevitably creates more problems than you originally set out to solve.
