There are some who seem to define the “middle path” in our Deen as meaning a middle point between Islam and Kufr, rather than a moderate position within the parameters of the Shari’ah that neither goes too far nor falls too short.
They look for the “gray areas”, the dubious matters about which there are differences of opinion, and they seem to set up residency in these areas, and even try to expand their borders; calling into question even matters that are crystal clear so they can pretend that an issue is dubious even when it is not. They claim that the existence of doubt grants us latitude in our decisions and behavior, although our Prophet ï·º told us explicitly, “leave that which causes you to doubt for that which does not cause you to doubt”
The truth is, they are stubborn in their infatuation for the Kuffar and the lifestyle of kufr because, I think, they do not understand how miserable and dangerous it really is.
Please know, dear Brothers and Sisters, that external things have an impact internally. Maintaining internal distance from the Kuffar and their beliefs can be severely undermined by external closeness to them; and outwardly emulating their culture will erode your Imaan within
