If you adopt a violent approach in the revolution, if you believe that you can somehow weaken the regime by attacking the police and army; you must be aware that, no matter how careful you are to restrict your attacks exclusively to security personnel, the army will not respond in a similarly scrupulous way. They will target the population writ large, to destroy both their practical and moral support for the rebels. Even if you are careful to only target the security forces, you inevitably invite civilian massacres. Bear this in mind.
