Next week the Egypt Mega-Projects Conference will convene at the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo to follow up on the agreements reached last March at the Economic Summit in Sharm el-Shaykh.
That summit, for those of you who didn’t know, marked the most pivotal point in Ssisi’s consolidation of power since the overthrow of Muhammad Mursi. If it had been derailed (as many of us were working on achieving), Sisi’s position would have been dramatically undermined, and a major step could have been taken towards reviving the goals of the January 25th uprising.
Everything that Sisi did prior to the March summit (including the coup itself) was done precisely to guarantee the success of the March summit; to satisfy foreign investors, and sell Egypt into slavery to the global owners of capital.
The Mega-Projects Conference represents the next greatest opportunity for the revolutionaries to sabotage Sisi and the military regime.
You still have a chance to derail it. You still have a chance to raise your fists against the chains which this conference will place around your wrists.
Whether you organize demonstrations at or around the venue, or whether you undertake special small-scale disruptions against the conference; disable CCTV cameras in the area, block traffic, issue threats and warnings against the hotel and participants, or simply set off the fire alarms in the hotel during the conference…you must do something to express your opposition to the selling of Egypt to the Kuffar and the enslavement of yourselves and your children
