The religion does not require you to be a psychopath; there is no bloodlust in Islam, and it is not from your imaan to treat the lives of Muslims as disposable simply because you believe their deaths are sacrifices to Allah.
Our Rabb told us “fighting was enjoined upon you although you dislike it”, and He was directly addressing the best people of this Nation, whose imaan and willingness to sacrifice is not open to question.
Rasulullah ﷺ told us “do not wish to meet the enemy”, and this is explained as meaning that the difficulty of the fight, and its outcome, are unknown and it represents a tremendous trial.
The best man of this Ummah after the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr said “for me to be protected and give thanks is dearer to me than to be tested and have patience”
Umar bin al-Khattab used to be distracted in the Salah arranging the troops in his mind, and he was always extremely worried and preoccupied with the safety of the mujahideen.
Rasulullah ﷺ said ” Every Muslim to another Muslim is sacred, his blood, his wealth, and his honor”.
Jihad is waged, whether offensively or defensively, with a central goal of preserving the lives of the Muslims; whoever is reckless about the sacred blood of the Believers , cannot truly be one of them.
Undertaking a strategy that has a predictably devastating outcome for the Muslims is not in reality an attack on the Kuffar, but it is collaboration with them.
Perhaps it is emotionally satisfying to shout takbir while expressing your personal rage through havoc and violence with no consideration for the repercussions, but it is not jihad, it is not the Sunnah, it is nnot effective, and is against the interests of this Ummah.
