When a firecracker is hurled from Gaza over the wall into an empty plot of land inside Israel, the Israelis scream that it is a threat to their very existence. They claim that they are on the verge of another holocaust because of the nuclear weapons that Iran does not even posses yet. They tremble in fear from Palestinian children throwing stones. Yet, interestingly, they are not the slightest bit troubled by the expanding presence of Da’esh in neighboring countries. It is worth reflecting upon this.
The Israelis perceive threats where they do not really exist, it is not plausible that they fail to perceive threats where they actually do exist. The reality is, whether deliberately or unknowingly, Da’esh strategy poses no threat to the Zionist project, indeed, quite the opposite
