Some people have expressed surprise that I advise the rebels to be prepared for what they will face if (may Allah forbid) they are ever arrested.
If you are confronting the regime, obviously, you must know that the regime will respond, and therefore you must be prepared for that.
It is one thing to say that you are ready for shahadah; but only Allah Knows who He will select for this honor.
If you are challenging a tyranny, you must not only be ready for shahadah, but you must also be ready for imprisonment, for beatings, for torture, and whatever else a brutal regime will inflict upon those who seek to overthrow it.
When you are training for a fight, you must learn not only how to strike, but also how to absorb being struck. This is a matter of simple preparedness.
If Allah Chooses for you to continue your struggle by transferring you onto the new battleground of prison, will your resistance evaporate? Or will you persevere in your defiance?
Revolution against tyranny is not only in the streets, it is wherever the tyranny manifests its control.
