Strictly speaking, nonviolent demonstrations are not nonviolent. When people are killed or injured at a demonstration, how it can be categorized as “peaceful”, I wish I knew.
Rather, such events are spectacles of one-sided violence; this tactic should be called what it is, “organized voluntary victimization”.
