I am not a believer in nonviolence, and I am not a believer in violence; I am a believer in effectiveness. I only have two criteria for advocating any strategy : number one, is it permissible in the religion? Number two, does it work?
And if it is not permissable in the religion, then I don’t believe it will work, and if it doesn’t work, then I don’t believe it is permissable in the religion. We are obligated to be effective
