Question:
Why do you say that he Iranian revolution was peaceful, it killed a million people?
Answer :
I think, brother, you might want to review the history of the Iranian revolution.
It was primarily a nonviolent movement consisting of demonstrations, strikes, and civil disobedience.
Khomeini himself discouraged attacks on the security forces and emphasized the need to convert them to the revolution rather than attack them.
I am not sure where you get the one million casualty figure from; that is more than were killed even in the Iran-Iraq war. There is no question that thousands of protesters were killed by security forces, but that is regime violence, not revolutionary violence. There were armed groups, both Communist and Shi’ah during the mid-1970s, but their activities and impact were minor. It is entirely inaccurate to categorize the Iranian revolution as an armed uprising. Not only is that not what happened, but it would have been impossible at the time.
If you are referring to the mass executions of members of the former regime, that is a different issue entirely. That took place after the nonviolent revolution already succeeded in bringing Khomeini to power; and the number of executions was in the thousands, not even close to one million
