The ‘Revolution of Knives’ makes a degree of strategic sense in Palestine, but this tactic is not as useful in Egypt, in my opinion.
Even if the Egyptian army behaves like a military occupation, it isn’t one.
The vast majority of Israelis have dual citizenship with another country, and can theoretically be forced to flee Palestine if the level of insecurity becomes intolerable for them. Their departure will not leave Palestine weaker and more vulnerable.
Egyptian soldiers have no option to withdraw from the country, and the dismantling of your army will leave Egypt vulnerable.
Randomly attacking soldiers on the street will not bring down the coup, rather it will likely result in greater reinforcement of the security apparatus by foreign sponsors and intensify repression.
Ultimately, your problem is not the army, but who controls the army; and attacking the army will not transfer its ownership.
