Human beings are rational creatures. Everyone can be reasoned with. The trick is just in identifying their priorities. For some people, you can reason with them on the basis of their religious and moral principles, because preserving these are their highest priority. For others, you can reason with them on the basis of what will protect their wealth and property. And there are some, who can only be reasoned with on the basis of the security of their own lives. Violence in this case, is the voice of reason.
