This is an excellent, thorough and well-researched article about the American economy and its likely collapse.
But what is meant by “collapse” here is basically just a continuation of the present trajectory of global economics By any rational definition, the US economy is already in collapse, and has been for some time. It is the sort of collapse which impacts the vast majority of citizens, and benefits a tiny handful of elites.
If by “collapse” we mean that America will cease to be a world power; no, I don’t see that happening in our lifetime. What the collapse means is simply that the ownership of American power will increasingly belong to private interests who have no nationality; and that is already happening…and has been happening for years.
