The internal reality of Turkey does not matter very much to the external hostile agenda. They will use anything and everything to brand Erdogan as a mad Islamist dictator. Any security response by the Turkish government in the aftermath of the coup attempt, to identify and neutralize any conspiratorial threat to the nation’s stability will be portrayed as heavy-handed and authoritarian, no matter how reasonable and responsible it may be.
