Explain to me the logic of a system in which I give you capital to start your company, and that entitles me to an endless share in your profits, instead of just the repayment of the money I gave you; but the workers who create your profit are not entitled to any share in it.
And explain to me the logic of a system in which I can purchase shares of your company once, buying the right to profit indefinitely from what your company earns; yet your employees work every day but never earn that right.
And explain to me the logic of a system in which your company can have its research and development funded by the taxpayers, but the taxpayers are somehow not shareholders in your company, even though they provided the money that enabled you to produce your goods.
How on earth does any of that make sense?
