Absolutely remarkable development in Brazil in the wake of the parliamentary coup against Dilma Rousseff: The unelected neoliberal government has amended the country’s constitution to literally prevent the state from increasing public spending on anything for the next 20 years! We should look for such measures to be replicated around the world. Increasing state spending on social services, infrastructure, etc, will actually be constitutionally illegal.
