The UAE is fast becoming the West’s most important logistical partner for imposing domination over the Middle East and North Africa, economically and militarily. The Emirates has become a base for mercenaries organized by Erik Prince, the founder of the company formerly known as Blackwater. Prince moved to the UAE in 2010, and essentially became the head of the UAE’s off-the-radar security services.
Prince’s new company R2 signed a $529 million contract with Abu Dhabi to create a mercenary “counter-terrorism” force in the Emirates, and members of Prince’s private army are currently flying Emirates Air Force planes over Libya conducting airstrikes. That’s right, missions of the UAE Air Force are being carried out by private mercenaries.
