Today, when you search the hashtag #Unilever on Twitter, you get 6 tweets about the #RohingyaGenocide at the top of the search results. Al-Hamdulillah. If that seems trivial to you, it isn’t. We are successfully connecting Unilever with the issue. Anyone who searches their hashtag will immediately learn that the issue exists, and that Unilever is connected to it, and that the company is being asked to take a stand. That matters.
Let’s try to increase this, so that any time someone searches that hashtag, the first 20 results are about the Rohingya issue.
If you are not active on Twitter, open an account, and get active. All you have to do is tweet something like “#Unilever, take a stand against #Rohingyagenocide @Paul Polman ”
And like and retweet anything you see from me or others that mentions #Unilever and the Rohingya issue.
