You cannot build a revolution on Facebook “Likes”.
Besides the obvious reasons why the concept is patently ludicrous (which are many), keep in mind that 66% of Egyptians are not online. That is roughly equivalent to the country’s rural population. Not only are they the majority, they are among the people who will be the most severely affected by neoliberal domination.
You cannot reach them by Facebook, and they cannot reach you. They cannot know you, and you cannot know them. And you cannot have a revolution without them.
