Of course I realize that there is a double standard in the characterization of an act of violence as terrorism. But, first of all, is it really the right response to shout “hypocrisy” at media coverage of the Las Vegas shooting before they even finish retrieving the bodies? Is that really all you think of? Making your point about media bias?

And secondly, did the Las Vegas shooter have a political agenda? It would certainly not be the first mass shooting in the US where there was no political motivation. Without that, I’m sorry, but the label of terrorism doesn’t accurately apply.

Had the shooter been Muslim would the crime have been termed “terrorist”? Undoubtedly. But how many Muslims commit mass killings WITHOUT an agenda? Had the shooter been Muslim the crime would have almost certainly actually BEEN a terrorist act. Let’s be honest.
