For those of you who do not know of him, I highly recommend that you expose yourselves to the lectures of Dr. Jordan Peterson.
There is something particularly intriguing to me about his analysis of the Jungian archetypes; referring to the work of Carl Jung who, had he been a Muslim, probably would have been a modern Al-Ghazali.
Peterson talks about the Jungian Archetypes, and how the “ultimate good guy” collectively acknowledged by a society impacts the way the society, and individuals in that society develop and manifest that ideal…and he sees Nabi ‘Isa as the West’s Archetypal Good Guy…the highest ideal.
It would be fruitful, I think, for us to ponder this with regard to Rasulullah as OUR Archetypal Good Guy….and how that impacts us collectively and individually…and how much healthier this is than the Christian portrayal of the story of ‘Isa as an Ideal Man.
