It is a paradox of ‘identity politics’ that it makes a point to emphasize the distinctions of one or another population group (according to any assortment of criteria), defining them by their difference with the majority; but then insisting that they should live the same experience as the majority. I am not sure how you can demand to be treated both differently and the same as the majority simultaneously. Look, if you are different, you are different, and your experience in society will be different; and presumably, you value your distinction enough for this to be worth it to you.
Bias of one type or another is always going to exist, and it is not even necessarily something malignant. It just is what it is. There will always be certain characteristics that set someone apart from others, just as they will possess a multitude of characteristics that make them similar. If you choose to emphasize the differences, for whatever reason, that is up to you, but you must recognize that this will tend to set you apart.
It would be useful for people in the West to travel internationally. Go to Asia, go to Africa, and you will soon realize how silly it is to imagine that the majority should be expected to accommodate you based on your difference from them.
