I am always struck by the irony of ideologies that claim inequalities of one type or another are all attributable to some all-powerful, dominating section of the population which has imposed these inequalities by design. The argument itself is a declaration of inherent inequality; it characterises the oppressors as innately superior and the oppressed as helpless before their power.
It tends also, to see the solution as always being for the oppressors to cede power and allow greater freedoms and rights for the oppressed. This again betrays that their actual view is deeply prejudiced about the innate capacities of the oppressed.
