نستطيع أن نخلص إلى أنه بينما تصعد الولايات المتحدة باعتبارها “بارون” الطاقة في العالم، فإن حماية حقول النفط في الخليج العربي، التي كانت عنصرًا أساسيًا في السياسة الخارجية الأمريكية، لن تصبح من الأولويات؛ بل أنها في الواقع قد تصبح مستهدفةً للتدمير.

We can surmise that as the US ascends as the world’s energy baron, protecting the oilfields of the Arabian Gulf, which has been a key component of American foreign policy, will cease to be a priority; indeed, they may well be targeted for destruction.
