You tell the West, “Islam is a religion of peace and non-violence” This is exactly like a shopkeeper telling an armed robber “look buddy, I don’t want any trouble, take the cash.” You think they will respect you for this, but it actually just assures them that they don’t have to.

There is no doubt that our Ummah is suffering from the plague of extremism. But it is not what is most often claimed. As we know, there are two types of religious extremism, the extremism of going beyond the limits of the Deen; and the extremism of falling short of the requirements of the Deen….
