It is October 13th. Four years ago today I arrived in Istanbul; my first day of freedom after over seven and a half years in prison. I couldn’t sleep for days. Every sight and sound and smell was miraculous. Like rebirth. Such a Mercy and a privilege. Al-Hamdulillah, al-Hamdulillah, al-Hamdulillah.
