There is no doubt that our Ummah is suffering from the plague of extremism. But it is not what is most often claimed. As we know, there are two types of religious extremism, the extremism of going beyond the limits of the Deen; and the extremism of falling short of the requirements of the Deen….

لا يجب عليك خداع الناس حتى يدخلوا الإسلام، ولا يجب عليك الدعوة سرا. وليس مجديا الاندماج مع الكفار حتى يتسنى لهم الاستماع لك. لقد حاولت اخبارهم أن الإسلام مشابه جدا لما يتبعوه بالفعل، وتفعل ذلك حتى تنال احترامهم، ولا يمكنك رؤية أنك بهذه الطريقة تجسد الآية: “وَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُم”…
