The main supplier of weapons to the Syrian regime, as we all know, is Russia.
We can say “Russia” because the arms supplier is a state-owned firm. Rostec, the recently re-branded Russian mammoth state corporation formerly known by the less snazzy name Russian, supplies arms to Bashar via their subsidiary Rosoboronexport (Russian keyboards apparently do not commonly have a space bar).
Rosoboronexport also supplies weapons to the United States military…but for really good reasons, maybe National Security, this is irrelevant. Sorry I mentioned it, but you might have otherwise thought that the US could have, you know, cut ties with the main enabler of the Syrian dictator as a means of pressuring Russia. So, yeah, just to clarify, American taxpayer money pouring into Rostec is irrelevant. We really are against them. Really. Clear?
